The new iPad looks incredible

With a retina display, a faster processor, a great camera, 4G LTE, iMovie, and iPhoto, this new tablet is going to be a must-have for just about everyone. iPhoto plus the retina display alone is reason enough for every photographer in the world to own this gem. I can't wait to get my hands on one, and will be ordering it asap.

Full disclosure: I am long AAPL at the time of this writing.

Good luck -- the Apple Store server keeps crashing on me.

Yep, my wife just ordered me one, with some AAPL profits. Now, 2 iPhones (3GS & 4S), 2 iPads and only one MacBook Pro.

It still will only FaceTime over wireless, though. I guess they trickle out the improvements, JUST fast enough, to keep you coming back for more.

The good news is that FoxConn (Apple's manufacturing subsidiary) is hiring tens of thousands of new manufacturing workers right now -- this is a global opportunity for disciplined manufacturing workers -- apply immediately through this link:

In other news, the Fed today announced its new convoluted QE plan, which only aggravates the economic malaise along Main Street -- what is increasingly clear is that Main Street USA is to be excluded from the economic recovery in the US -- Federal policies continue to advantage Federal workers, the defense establishment, banking, and retirees -- everything else will likely be destroyed in detail in the coming decades -- only accredited investors and/or those possessing world-class skills have a chance for a future in America at this point -- we should all be doing everything we can to encourage our children to escape the provincial Main Street economy, and instead plan to join the global cosmopolitan economy centered in Washington and the other major political capitals around the world.

In the mean time, rent and dividend earning equities are still on sale everywhere -- those with cash can dictate terms to desperate real estate sellers -- also, stocks can be acquired at bargain prices in anticipation of the Dow reaching 75,000 by 2040-2050 (only 25-35 years away) -- I am very excited about the emerging career and investment opportunities for young Americans who have the skills and means to exploit the situation in their favor.

Everyone else should be taking cover...

Definite improvements and puts them well ahead of competitors, but are the upgrades really worth it for me to scrap my iPad 2? As of 12 hours ago the display of my iPad 2 was amazing.

I couldn't get my order in for several hours, due to overwhelming demand. But it finally went through without a problem.

Scott, be careful my friend. You are showing signs of techno neophilia.
A serious problem that can lead to much unhappiness.

I have a couple gadget geek friends who often seem to get great short term self importance from new gadgets but only end up feeling empty and unsatisfied after a few weeks.

Until they find a new toy!

Unknown: are you by any chance bugging my house? My wife was telling me the same thing just last night. I promised her that my love of Apple gadgets was surpassed only by my love for her.

I got my new iPad last night. Haven't had much time to spend with it, but the screen is simply amazing. The sharpness of text makes reading much easier, and the colors are more saturated. It's faster at almost everything. The camera is greatly superior to the iPad 2. On the outside it's virtually identical to the iPad 2.

For something so magical and revolutionary, it's definitely worth upgrading to if you don't already have an iPad. And if you don't have one, what are you waiting for?
